Guild members off to the NYS Sheep & Wool Festival 2008
Meeting Schedule
We gather the first and third weekends (generally, when holidays do not pose a conflict) of every month, usually one Saturday and one Sunday, from 1-4PM or later as desired. We meet at members' homes and are all skill levels. We often schedule informal fiber-related field trips in between. For further information, contact schafer99@gmail.com.
Fiber Map - side 1
Wachusett County Fiber Map
What a fun project! We now have two versions of the self-guided tour map of fiber farms, businesses and learning centers located in Wachusett County/Central Massachusetts. One version is viewed through Google Maps. Another is now in PDF format for downloading and printing. As time and interest permits, we will update the map on an annual basis.
Great! Folks can view Dorothy's farm and her creations at http://windyhamletfarm.com/.
We had a nice, small guild meeting yesterday. Chris showed us roving from Sweden her friend brought back, and Dorothy shared stories of sheep raising and fleece care. Sat by the fire and enjoyed Chris' yummy brownies and other treats. Maile had a technical failure with her wheel that she managed to overcome with some real creative rewiring -- impressive! Betsy and Chris told us about their experience at NOFA's Winter Conference on Saturday.
